About Me

My name is Jess, I'm a researcher at Imperial College London. I have about a thousand hobbies because I want to do everything and can't limit myself to just one thing. One of the things I like to do is write. I mostly want to write fiction, but end up writing a lot of non fiction: scientific writing for my research work and a personal blog that seems to be easier because of its casual nature.

I started life as a postdoc this year, working as a research assistant at Imperial College London. I moved my life from Australia to the UK, rushing into the next thing. This blog is sort of my way of coming to terms with who I am and trying to figure out what I want to do with my life, its also my way of communicating with the outside world and attempting to share my experiences with the online community. I don't think my blogs are any good, I don't even edit them, but it's my inner thoughts coming to the surface and maybe you have the same inner thoughts and this is our way of getting to know each other, our connection.

I'm a physicist but I'm also an artist, a writer, a climber, a foodie and whatever else I want to be. It's always so hard to decide what I am, I am a collection of many hobbies and interests, some of which you might get to know in this blog.
